The mushrooms are treated with a graphite-based electroconductive paint and then stabilized by electrodeposition of copper on the organic matter. The natural mushroom becomes the protagonist and guardian of the cycle of matter, immobilized and exalted by a thin shimmering coppery blanket. The work highlights the fundamental role that lignicolous fungi play in maintaining balance within an ecosystem such as a forest, a park or simply a group of trees.
