Multiple fires, material, sensorial, perspective, tell the story of the alpine forests that the artist observes, inhabits and returns.

The linen surface is first burnt, charred, to reveal landscapes of burnished foliage, trunks and cadenced trunks. The photographic image is impressed on the canvas by a pyrograph and a numerically controlled laser machine programmed ad hoc by the artist. Then the intervention becomes painterly and instinctive, in search of the specific dawn: violet and pink make space in the canvas, giving three-dimensionality and light to the nocturnal, wooded landscape. boreal forest.

A multitude of burnt dots come to life, in the artist’s continuous search for a link with the cosmos, with the cyclical nature of natural processes, with matter.

The Arborescence series explores the theme of changing woodland landscapes, on fire due to the overspread of the bark beetle, at the hands of man, and the colours of the sun, sunsets and sunrises.
